I am preaching to myself on this one too! Everything, every interaction does not deserve a comment. Sometimes we just must walk away, refrain from “comment” posting, hitting “send,” leaving a fiery voicemail, etc., etc. Sometimes we just must let it be and not give energy to what would otherwise be labeled as foolishness. Do you remember when your little brother or sister, your child, grandchild, niece, or nephew had a temper tantrum because they did not get what they wanted? Sometimes, we just had to leave them there kicking and screaming on the floor until they wore themselves out and took and involuntary nap! Now, I am not talking about those falling out in the middle of the grocery store tantrums! Some of us remember being scooped up and taken into the restroom for an “attitude adjustment” session with Mama. LoL!
Sometimes when we are dealing with out of control or offensive people, we must realize that their behavior may not be worthy of any kind of response. Discern when to respond and when to walk away, figuratively, and literally.
