Sometimes, there is wisdom in silence. Some things a lady just has to keep to herself. It is part of her feminine energy. Sometimes we are so quick to let everyone know, how much we know, that we don’t realize we are revealing too much of our business! I gain knowledge from women in the Bible. Women who displayed strength, discretion, which came through having the wisdom to be silent at times. Having the wisdom to not tell all that they know or are capable of in the moment. These women were not necessarily taught to read or write. However, through life experiences and their relationship with God, they gained the wisdom they needed to overcome obstacles and, in some cases, life or death situations.
Now some may say that those were times of oppression for women, and you would not be wrong. However, these were women that rose to positions of leadership as a result of knowing how to use that feminine energy. I mean Deborah became a judge! I would dare say, she didn’t get there by telling all of her business!
What is the benefit of silence and how does it edify the situation? Sometimes in silence, we are in a position to gain more information or knowledge that will further assist us in that situation. Just a thought.
